So what happened is this. Being recently employed at a company, I decided that I was in need of both a nice mug to hold my beverage of choice, and something to make my workspace more personal. Being a fan of these lovely ladies, I decided to treat myself to this wonderful travel mug.
The ordering was easy and shipping swift. The mug was the smaller size depicted in the description, but it is large enough to hold a lot of liquid. It is also practically waterproof which I discovered when filling it up with water, closing the lid (fits snugly and beautifully!) and shaking it vigorously upside down. Not a drop spilt but I have yet to repeat it with something hot.
Took it to work and filled it up before lunchtime with tea. I have in the almost two hours since scalded my tongue several times, due to the mug being better at retaining heat than expected! Was expecting the plastic lid to leak a bit of heat but it was like drinking liquid magma. I also forget how hot my tea is since the outside of the mug keeps a nice room temperature. Cue me trying to drink and realising it is hotter than expected and followed by hilarious reactions of panting, yelping and also one time almost biting my tongue off...
It is a brilliant purchase and I am more than happy! I might use it for cold drinks in the future though thanks to me being as forgetful as a goldfish..
